Back to school

Well, not really, I've been in school for...wow two months now!

Here, I'll update with something I've done recently that I liked, both doing and the finished result.

The assignment was to illustrate a nightmare. This is basically how I felt after watching District 9.

Summer work!

Along with some other summer stuff, I've been asked to illustrate a children's book for a family friend. It's about a cat on a farm who goes around visiting all his animal friends at night. There would be about 9 pieces in total. So far I only have 5 done. I'm going to continue this job during the next long break. Unfortunately the colors seem a lot, well, duller after passed through the scanner, even with alterations. I'm gonna have to go to Kinko's and scan them on a big scanner

Some watercolor sketches of my dog. She was a most high-maintenance model. She's a secret diva.

Some observational drawing I've been doing lately (good little art student! /pat on head/)

It was actually incredibly satisfying to sit down and draw my feet

Sketch based on a Beauty and the Beast short story. The Beauty becomes the wild one while the Beast becomes more human and she loses interest in him. I don't think I want to make this a full illustration, I just liked drawing it. I should draw monsters more often.
